Locked and Loaded (Bullet #6) By Jade C Jamison

Blurb: Is it too much to believe that someone keeps returning to your life because it’s meant to be?

Zane Carson is an idealistic young man with one big skeleton in his closet when he first meets Jennifer Manders in college. They date only to break up soon after. The sexual attraction is like an electromagnet but they fight like alley cats. The relationship just isn’t worth it.

Zane’s band Fully Automatic breaks big about the same time Jennifer finishes college. One summer afternoon, they meet for coffee and sparks fly once more. It’s off again, on again, but they just can’t make it work and break it off for good, deciding it’s not worth the effort.

But Zane is drawn to her and, during a break in the music action, he tracks her down again, willing to change himself for her and needing to give her one last try. The attraction is as strong as ever, but now Jennifer is hiding something from Zane—something big, something that threatens to extinguish the spark for good. When Zane discovers her secret, will he be able to forgive her or will that be the end?

My Thoughts: I love Jade’s books she is able to capture your attention from the first word to the last……. This is the next book in the Bullet Series and we get to see who Zane truly is. We have learned and loved him from afar while he sat mostly in the back ground. Now we are getting to know him and his life so much better. Zane like most of the other members of his band have had addictions  his just seem to get worse and never better!! When he believes he can try again and make it just right he contacts his on again off again girlfriend from college Jennifer. It has been a bit since they have seen each other and Jennifer has grown up a lot and has a pretty big secret she is keeping to protect herself and baby.

Jennifer has always loved and cared for Zane. She believes that her and Zane could truly make things work but was always disappointed. When Zane comes out of nowhere Jennifer is not ready. She does her best to keep him at arms length and the night she caves crushes her heart once again as she discovers that he is still up to his old ways. Jennifer gives Zane the choice between her and their love or his old life. Zane takes that challenge and soon sees that not everything is easy nor should it be. There are still secrets that could destroy the hard work he has been doing both for himself and for Jennifer.

Jade keeps you going through the entire book. I have said this about everyone of Jade’s books, she writes about real life. Her stories (for the most part we don’t all get to be big rock stars) reflect things that you or your family or friends have gone through. And that I love, I love that from the start of Bullet to the end of Locked and Loaded I could feel what they were feeling and have known someone who has had some kind of addiction. I am so thankful for Jade’s books and for her allowing me to read them!

Stalk her here:
Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado and has decided she likes it enough to stay forever. Jade’s day job is teaching Creative Writing, but teaching doesn’t stop her from doing a little writing herself.

Unfortunately, there’s no one genre that quite fits her writing. Her work has been labeled romance, erotica, suspense, and women’s fiction, and the latter is probably the safest and closest description. But you’ll see that her writing doesn’t quite fit any of those genres.

You’ll have to discover Jade’s writing for yourself to decide if you like it.
